A little story how I came up with this random post.
A few months ago I started learning Hindi by myself. At first, I really enjoyed it but as it often happens when you are doing something without a strict schedule – my motivation started to fade slowly. Due to other things happening in life and about one month of travelling Europe I totally stopped at the end. Now that I am home again I have absolutely no excuses not to continue studying but starting again is extremely difficult. I started looking for some Hindi songs to listen to, hoping that it will raise my motivation again. After watching few music videos I noticed one interesting trend. Many of those videos were filmed in beautiful locations around the world. Even if you have absolutely no interest in learning Hindi, I bet you will want to pack your suitcase and go on vacation right after watching them!
The movie “Bachna Ae Haseeno” (“Watch Out, Ladies”) was filmed in different locations around the world including Australia and Italy, but this particular video is all about Switzerland. I really want to ride that alpine roller coaster now!
“Safarnama” song from the movie “Tamasha” shows some beautiful sides of Corcisa. Honestly, I didn’t know much about this island before but after watching this video I did some research and now Corsica is on my bucket list.
Ever heard of Bruges? This charming little Belgian city is often overlooked by the tourists. Bruges is often called the Venice of North and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. It also happened to be one of the main shooting locations for the movie “PK”. The movie is also great, by the way, I can’t stop recommending it to everyone.
This music video from the movie “Ilahi Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” (“This Youth Is Crazy”) makes me secretly jealous. What a cool job it is to travel the world and shoot videos in beautiful places.
“SANAM RE” is another Bollywood movie shot in different magnificent locations. To tell true, after watching the music video I though it was almost entirely shot abroad. To my surprise, only a few movie scenes were shot in Canada, but most of the movie was filmed in exotic locations in India that I’ve never heard about before. Just watch the videos and tell me in the comments if you can recognize where in India it was shot 😉
Have you heard about La Tomatina festival in Spain? If not, this video will show you. A little secret: the music video is actually a recreation of the real festival. The tomatoes were imported from Portugal and the scenes were shot in Buñol, where La Tomatina is really happening.
And the best for the end! The locations from this video are so unreal, I had to watch behind the scenes video to believe it was not all edited. Island is a unique place, it is not a secret anymore.
Do you know some other travel music videos? Let me know in the comments!
